As part of the on going review of courses the Public Sector Education and Training Authority (PSETA) identified and responded to a need for more comprehensive investigative training in the public sector. This resulted in the development of PSP 4 15 04, the Certificate IV in Government (Investigations) and the PSP 4 14 04, the Certificate IV in Government (Statutory Compliance). These courses have become sought after formal qualifications in these sectors.

All of ICETS courses are developed and maintained to the nationally recognised competencies standards set by industry. These standards are listed by National Training Information Service (NTIS). Yes. While ICETS specialises in developing training packages customised for large agencies, we also run generic courses. These courses are based on a cross section of legislation and state based agency policy & procedures. These focus on legislation and policy relevant to the state in which training is delivered and ensure its relevancy to the agency personnel attending the course.

Yes. ICETS has a package of workshops targeting specific areas such as interviewing skills, factual statements, personal risk management & safety, observation skills.
We can also create computer based training packages (CBT) for your agency which can be delivered by your own staff as an induction course or refresher course for personnel with specific responsibilities.

Yes. ICETS has adopted The ‘Skills First’ program which is a process used to assess the existing skills of individuals for credit towards a formal qualification. This is part of our ongoing commitment to offering recognition of prior learning to clients in line with the Australian Quality Training Framework Standards.
As part of our ongoing commitment to client agencies, on completion of formal training, clients are automatically enrolled in our monthly ‘Investigative Practice Report’ (IPR). The IPR is a publication produced by Law Enforcement investigators which keeps you up to date with current investigation practices. The IPR focuses on the strengths and weaknesses of published State and Commonwealth prosecutions to provide advice of the effectiveness of investigative practices.
